Potter Country Store & Bakery

We happened to be driving near Potter and came upon this store. The signs on the window mentioned ice cream sundaes, soft drinks and lunch. Given that it was about 90 degrees and we hadn't seen a convenience store for miles, it looked like heaven. So in we went.

One room is a convenience store that also houses Hunt Brothers Pizza, fountain drinks and, best of all, a case with homemade baked goods. The proprietor has cookies, brownies, small loaves of blueberry, banana and chocolate breads, as well as other goodies. Very tasty stuff. A second room appears to be the restaurant. We didn't try it out this time, but it looks like they've got spaghetti and other typical lunch stuff.

Definitely worth stopping in if you happen to be in the area.
