If you like Beer and a casual environment to hang-out, this is your place. This was stop #1 for my wife and I on a hot Sunday afternoon. Â The walk from the downtown are was not bad. Â Helped build our thirst. Â The beer selection was very well rounded. Â The bar-keep we're very helpful in providing samples, so we were both able to find one we liked. Â The only thing missing is a kitchen, but they did offer food via local delivery from neighboring food joints. Â This didn't fit our needs, so it was off to another place. Â I will go back!
Review Source:So glad Port Townsend finally has a great place to drink rare/hard-to-find beer. The first time I went there they had an amazing sour beer on tap and I nearly died from excitement. They have a great variety of beer on tap and a few standing coolers with beer & ciders that you can buy and then drink right there as well.
Outside is tons of seating with great views of the water. There's also ping pong and bocce ball which is fun too.
I will be making this place a staple of my future trips to Port Townsend.
What a fun spot!
We rode our bikes here on the Larry Scott Trail. The bar is pretty spacious and they have a large outside seating area with picnic tables, chairs, and space to play outside games. The location can't be beat being right on the beach with a great view.
They have a nice beer selection of local beers. 12 taps and several bottles, too. According to their website they carry 200 bottles. I thought they might have more than 12 taps but the selection was good and we were all happy. I had a dark ale. I can't remember the name of it. It was quite hoppy.
You can order in 5 oz, 10 oz. or 16 oz. glasses. Prices were fine, not cheap but not too bad. About $5-6 for a pint but for a good beer that's reasonable.
The people working were nice.
You can bring food in since they don't serve food. We saw people eating Thai, pizza, and BBQ. There are several restaurants close by so if you wanted to bring food in you would have several choices.
I can't wait to come back when I'm in town again!
Great neighborhood bar with a great selection of beer. Twelve always rotating on tap. I like that they do 5oz pours so one can sample many of them. Or just bring your 12 sided RPG dice and take a roll. The owners are fantastic and I loved the dog vibe. It was night and winter so I didn't get to enjoy the waterside tables outside, but I'll be back in fairer weather.
Review Source:Was here on business during the week and decided to have one for the road. Â One. Â Responsibly.
Great selection of beers but I decided to have a locally brewed cider. Â The name escapes me but I can tell you it was really good. Â Not too sweet, not too dry. Â Have to figure that one out.
I like their pricing structure and their pricing is very reasonable as well. Â The inventory changes frequently but a glance at the board and some friendly banter with the barkeep made me feel right at home. Â
Wish we had something like this back home.......
A friend recommended we try Pourhouse while we were visiting here last weekend, boy are we glad we did.  First off, it would be nice if they had a little more signage, we drove right by it the first time.  Once inside really liked the feel of the space and the large selection of bottled beers in the cooler, which I believe I saw a $1.00 corkage fee if you by and drink there.  They have a great selection of both the bottled and on tap beers. Ordered a couple and headed outside to their great space abutting the water just feet away. Many nice picnic tables, some with umbrellas and even a ping pong table. Ended up using their binder with the take out menus, and DH went across the street to Dos Okies BBQ place. Reviewed Dos, not very impressed for first visit. We come to Pt, Townsend 2-3 times a year for a weekend getaway and this is a welcome addition and we will be back.  The only minor complaint is that the bartender never came out to take our order for another beer, they weren't busy (as it was just after noon), and not sure if it stated somewhere that if you sit outside you have to some in to get  your drinks.  If you like beer go try it, oh and you can bring your dog outside, cool!
Review Source:This place really has it all - tons of outdoor seating, live music, dog-friendly atmosphere, and a great tap selection. Â What more do you need? Â Sitting outside in the beer garden is like being at the beach - laid back picnic tables are scattered around with umbrellas and you have a great view of the water while you drink. Â No food (well, unless you count peanuts), but they have binders of the neighborhood take-out menus so you can order in or bring in your own food. Â Great idea for a picnic lunch on a Saturday afternoon!
Review Source:Love love love the Pourhouse. Â It has the best elements of a local watering hole. Â Rotating taps, fine wine, and good vibes are abundant. Â It is located on the water and has fun outside games. Â The only drawback is that it is a bit noisy due to the number of flat untextured surfaces. Â It seems to have a lot of ambient noise even when it is not busy.
Review Source:If I lived anywhere in the vicinity of PT, I would be here every. Single. Day. Beer lover's heaven, al-fresco drinking-lover's heaven, and as another reviewer pointed out, dog'lover's heaven. Wish they served food, but they accomodate with take-out menus for places nearby. Love their outdoor "beer garden" area.
Review Source:Me, my husband, and my dog thought we died and gone to doggie Nirvana. Dog lovers, BOOKMARK this place. Â We go everywhere with our smarter-than-99% of humans-I-know dog, and can never find a place to kick back, have a beer and relax with our best bud. The reply I got when asked if my dog could just sit there was " uhh, yah, we have all kinds of dogs in here...." The atmosphere was so great, beer and really nice wine and a very eclectic crowd who were friendly and totally non-judgmental about pretty much everything. The 20's washboard band they had there were quirky and excellent and we went there repeatedly during our stay. You can order food from surrounding restaurants who deliver - just an awesome experience. I am recommending this place to all my doggie travel contacts!
SUCH a great place to just cut loose and be yourself with your best four legged bud.
I think that my friend and I may have stayed at the same nasty ass hotel with the incredible stanky ass rooms that Bitsy G was yelpin' about. Luckily, thanks to an underage drinker in town giving us the tip on this place and hearin' the rocking music from the balcony of the stank hotel in order to get some fresh air, we headed over here.
This place was great! There is an excellent selection of bottled beer, which I luv, luv!! The outside space is HUGE with a ton of seating. They had very talented band playing and almost everyone was dancing along. Â I think what made it excellent was all the locals having a great time here. I also loved the diversity and range of ages in this place.I will add that when Pourhouse can afford it, heat lamps would make an excellent addition to the outdoor area. Â I WISH it were possible to post video on Yelp b/c I got some good stuff at this bar. Everyone was incredibly friendly and genuine. All and all this is most definitely the bar to hit when visiting or living in Port Townsend.
My husband and I were in town over St. Patrick's day weekend, and our (nasty ass) hotel was within walking distance of the Pourhouse. Â Since we'd come straight from Seattle on a Friday after work, with a long ferry wait, it was rather late by the time we'd checked in and we were ready for a drink. Â
Most of the bars in town were closing soon, or had live music, and we just wanted something quiet and low-key. Â Even though their hours on Yelp indicated that they should be closed, the open sign was still on at the Pourhouse.
They have an excellent selection of beer on tap, small but eclectic wine list, not to mention the assortment of booze free drinks. Â The prices are crazy cheap compared to what we're used to shelling out in the Seattle area. Â The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they clearly love what they do.
When it's time to go, the party doesn't have to stop: they also have a good selection of bottles to go!  Not only did they have a great variety, but they had some spring Ninkasi and Elysian  that I hadn't seen at our local beer shop yet!!
I like to drink beer. Â I really like drinking different kinds of beer, and in this regard Pourhouse is amazing. Â Every time is like going to a new pub with an incredible draft list. Â They do a great job of rotating the taps so that a variety of styles is always available. Â You can order 10oz. or 16oz. pours, and the owners are always willing to pour a taste first, just in case you're not sure of what you want. Â There is also a great selection of bottles and cans which I've only barely begun to get acquainted with.
