Promise Land

Woooo what a shack this is. It may not be somewhere you would normally stop because of the appearance, but you may be pleasantly surprised if you do.

It is literally a little shed with an outdoor smoker. They have hand painted the name on the front. There are a few picnic tables outside, but I believe most people pick up to take home. You walk up to one window to order and when your order is ready they will have it for you at the other window.

We picked up some pork and ribs. The BBQ pork was great! The ribs...I'm not sure what was wrong with them but they had a strange flavor. I thought maybe that the seasoning got over charred, because it kind of tasted like they had been dipped in dirt.

They get 4 stars for the BBQ pork alone and negative one star for the ribs.
