Quarterdeck Restaurant

The flounder stuffed with crab was mediocre. The hush puppies needed more onion. The cole slaw was the highlight of my dinner. The French fries were not fresh cut. My fish and my husband's steak (he ordered medium) were very overcooked. The food wasn't very hot and served on cold plates. Not coming back this trip. Sorry.

We stop here at least once when we're on the island.  Fried scallops are always cooked to absolute perfection.  Locals and tourists make it an interesting mix of patrons.  Never had a bad meal here.

Every time we come to the Hatteras Island we come to Quarterdeck...at least once a trip. The best hush puppies on the island.

The fish is always fresh and cooked just like it's supposed to be. Not a gourmet restraraunt but a classic NC seafood that you can always trust for a great fish of the day or fried oysters.
