I was curious to check this place out because of its bad reputation-- I've heard that it is generally a world-class dive (I often enjoy hanging out at dive bars), but that its often filled with shitheads and troublemakers (there was a stabbing here last fall). Â
Alas, my group did not actually set foot inside because the jerk-offs running the place were charging a cover just to enter! Â There wasn't any live music going on as far as we could tell, and that would make this the only place in town to be charging a cover without a band. Â Retarded. Â This must be the fabled army felcher joint of the Olympic Peninsula.
The guy who gave this place, a bad review. Is obviously some kind of loser, or army felcher. Or he is just a miserable blackout drunk. He might have the R Bar, confused, with the bar, at the Red Lion. Every time myself, and my Shipmates arrive. We are treated extra special, by ownership, and bar staff. They always seem to run a $2, or $3 special. The karaoke is a blast. DJ spins great dance music. They have live music, from great, out of town bands, regularly. Maybe, our attitude is good. Maybe, we actually tip the bartenders; for providing great service. Â None of us; really need to go anywhere else! Thanks R Bar!
