Racks Sports Bar & Grill

This Sports Bar/Biker Bar/Live Music Bar/Craft Beer Bar or Fine Dining/Casual Dining/Diner Style/BBQ joint - has no identity at all. The only thing that links them to their name is the antlers hanging in the dining room. Going back into this establishment after finding out it was under new ownership was a big mistake; it is unfortunate because it is located in a prime area of Gold Canyon. The first time I attempted to dine there was against better judgment, (that is after reading 5 negative reviews in less then one month of them being open). It was a Monday and after standing in the foyer for 10 minutes before a yell from behind the bar addressed me with "Can I help you?" Um, yes- I'd like some food. "Kitchen is closed on Mondays!" and the bartender turned her back. So I left. I should have known then not to give this place another go- but I did. After a few days I returned with my wife. It wasn't a Monday so I could eat! It was 5 minutes before I was noticed, standing there waiting to be seated. I was told "Sit anywhere, a waitress will be with you shortly." I didn't realize shortly meant 20 minutes otherwise I would have walked out again. At least it gave me time to look over the HUGE menu. We had an appointment so we only had about an hour before we needed to get going. After finally coming to the table the waitress looked bored. There was no "hi, welcome to racks," just "are you ready to order?" So we ordered our drinks and 10 minutes later got them. WITH NO STRAWS. When asked if we could have some straws we were answered with "Let me see if we even have any." We ordered an appetizer and our food. After another 20 minutes - here comes our appetizer...and the rest of our food. ALL OF IT. I was not asked how my food was by the way. In fact the waitress didn't come back after she delivered the food. No refills, no extra napkins. Nothing. The entire staff looked to be at the bar either eating or complaining. The waitress came back, dropped off the check and we were told "she'd be our cashier." I would rather spend my lunch break at McDonald's. Fast, Friendly service AND they have hot beverages. I hope this place goes out soon so we can try this place again with new owners.
