Unfortunately, last time I was thru here I discovered that the building had burned - nothing left. Too bad.

Ramage Farm is a "country store" and restaurant along side Interstate 30 near Texarkana. My Dad lives in the area and says this family run store started many years ago as a stand at the family farm where they sold home-made jams for many years before opening in their current location.
Whenever I'm in the area I go there to buy pecan pralines -- made with pecans raised on their farm. They make some of the best pralines I've ever had -- better than the typical ones found in New Orleans. Perhaps they're so good because they use a higher ratio of pecans than is typical.
There aren't many restaurants in the area so yesterday we decided to try their bar-b-que. The brisket and sausage was very good. The chicken quesadilla was cooked to order -- and was tasty, but a bit oily from the sauteed onions. If you find yourself driving between Dallas and Texarkana and need something good to eat, try this place.
