Had lunch on Sunday during a busy hour. Got some chips and decent salsa about 15 minutes after sitting. Â Now before I talk about their food let me clarify that I am Mexican, born and raised in Souther California by Mexican parents. Â I am used to delicious food from home and enjoy tasting new variations of authentic food. Â Ranchito seems to have a regular clientele, mostly white, middle aged who were probably born and raised in Kansas. Â I definitely was not expecting anything similar to homemade Mexican but even with these lowered expextations I was disappointed.
I ordered a bean tostada and a chile relleno. Â The chile was ok, could've used some more flavor. I was pleasantly surprised with the tostada, even though it had yellow (cheddar) cheese it was good. Â The tostada itself was a bit thin so it did get a little soggy with the salsa I added. The coffee was disgusting! But I should have known better than to order coffee at a "Tex-Mex" place.
I was here on business and probably will not come back anytime soon. Liberal has much better eateries.
