Red Barn is the epitome of North Alabama barbecue: tender, slow-cooked pork; a slightly sweet, slightly tangy sauce that doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the meat; and a cheap price.
If you like ribs, you'll love them at Red Barn. Best I've ever had. There's no need to add sauce to them after they hit your plate.
But don't show up expecting to pull up a chair. Red Barn is only a take-out establishment, though I doubt the owner, Kenneth, would object if you pulled down the tailgate of your truck and treated it as a makeshift table right there on the premises.
