Loved the atmosphere. Enjoyed the roasted veggie panini and the dal. Great place for a lazy afternoon lunch!

Great atmosphere and the service was super friendly. I'm a pretty big foodie so for me the food was very good but not over the top great that is why I gave them 3 out 5. I would defiantly stop there again if ever in the area.

This place is a gem! Met up with some friends for lunch, and will be going back again! I'm rarely ever up in the Turners Falls/Deerfield area, but this place is worth the trip. Eclectic menu, and I loved my 5 cheese panini and the curried carrot kickshaw is something I'll be looking to whip up at home. Chill little spot for lunch. Great tunes (anytime I can hear some Budos Band while I'm eating it's a good thing!), great service, recommending this place to everyone!

My favorite restaurant in turners falls by far. The staff is accommodating and nice and the food is delicious. I love that they have several vegan and vegetarian options and serve lots of local food. Try the beet & balsamic pizza! Enjoy!

Very nice place for a quiet brunch. Food was great (Belgian waffle,  homemade hash w/ poached eggs); nice porch on quiet St, wifi. I'd go again.

Excellent burger and panini, somewhat limited menu tho. BBC Steel Rail draft was way WAY off, impossible to get that wrong...but it was.

Very happy to see TF support such a Great Little Bodacious Tavern.

I was there very early for dinner, and it was dead, but I could image this place getting VERY funky...wish I could have stayed for the free blues show that night.

My favorite neighborhood bar by far.  Hipster enough to make you feel like one of the cool kids, but aware enough of this fact that you can drop by on your way home from work (banker or farmer) without changing.

The food is good if you think of it as a restaurant, and shockingly good if you think of it as a bar with food.  The bartenders are funny, friendly, ironic, and actually know about the beers they are serving (often local).  All in a all, my favorite place to try and get a little glow-y and forget that the bridge will be closed for the next five years,

I was visiting some friends in Northampton last week when we decided to take a drive to get some lunch at some old book mill, I forget the name (sorry, not from anywhere around here) but it was so windy that their power was out. So we kept driving and ended up in Turner Falls and thought this place looked cute. Best decision ever! My favorite sandwich is a grilled ham and cheese and this one comes in at my second favorite of all time. So good! I loved that the sandwich was warm but the bread wasn't toasty. Also, the thickness of the ham was perfect. Yum, yum, yum! The waiter/bartender was super nice too. Great place! I guess the only thing that sucks is that you only get one refill on your soda, and the glasses are kinda small. Oh well, one shouldn't drink so much pop anyways!

Very cool place.  Good eats, and good company.  Always trying to do new things, and they bring in some fantastic entertainment.  Good place to hang.

Upon a trip to Turners Falls, I discovered this place. I really dug this place. The only downside to this place is that it is far away from me. This place had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly mood and local feel to the place. Pretty big bar space and I have seen that the place is one of the big social events spaces in the area. Good beer on tap and unique food menu (they had Fluff-n-Nutter sandwiches!) Highly recommend this space.

Great half way stop for passsers thru from southern VT back to Boston area. Great recpite from gruling route 2 tired ride home after skiing Stratton/Bromley. Incredible retro/comfort artist inspired punky young urbanfleeing underground hip/cool restaurant/bar.

I was amazed when I bought a healthy breakfast for five dollars: cheesy eggs, salad and oven fries...yum, along with their tangy Belgium waffles topped with wiping cream, strawberries and real maple syrup....good, pretty and cheap...perfect!

Driving through Massachusetts and needed a bathroom. Bad. So where else to stop but the combination ice cream/black leather Harley-Davidson shop in the middle of Massachusetts?
This place was totally fab-made me want to be a biker chick. Had a great salty old guy working there too, wanting to know why in hell we live in Minnesota. Good question.
The ice cream was OK-there's pretty high standards in these parts. Wasn't exactly on the "Ice Cream trail", but it's ice cream, how bad can it be? Leather and ice cream go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Great place. OK, the negative first- wish they had a more expansive food menu.
Positives- some inexpensive items if you just want a little something to wash down with the beer.  Speaking of which, good selection on tap. Unique drink specials. Generally tasty food. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Wide variety of entertainment options. Quiet place to meet with friends during the day, rowdy place to party at night.

Very tasty; not your average brunch place!  (Plus Eames DSX chairs on the deck.)

The Rendezvous has been less than good lately. The male servers are inattentive (we waited a long time just to be noticed for menus, and then longer to order our meals), and the seasonal menu for lunch and dinner right now (in Summer) is sub-optimal.

The chicken tasted like it had been microwaved, and the fish tacos were like McDonald's meets plane food: lots of fried stuff and very little fish, very bland and mushy. Ick!

The lunches are good (several paninis to choose from, which come with french fries, salad, or really AWESOME curried carrot kickshaw: a cole slaw of sorts with curried carrots and sultanas).

The brunch is still fabulous (LOVE their veggie breakfast burritos!!!), with really good service from one of their female staff, Sarah who is attentive and considerate (often making us a fresh pot of decaf). But, the dinners are really sub-par.

Clearly, they have ups and downs, and they're in a down period right now. When they're on, they're really great. And, when they're off, it's a disappointment, knowing how good they can be.

A fun place to hang out. Good food, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, and good music. It's a cross between a restaurant and a bar. Let's call it a family friendly bar.

Pretty good for Turners!  Love the quiz night.

Food quality and draft selection typically leave a bit to be desired, though was glad to see Founder's Breakfast Stout up last month.  Best food are burgers, pickles, and the curried carrot Kickshaw side dish.  Other food tends toward the ho-hum, the quality not meeting the excitement evinced in my loins from reading the descriptions.  Nice cocktails too.

Windows that don't open is a minus.

Hosting music, quiz night, dance nights, and other events is a plus.  Though I still insist the Valley has way too much mellow music.  This is definitely not the art-folk-punk venue I crave (and that the Valley simply doesn't have), but yet another laid-back folk/reggae/jazz/noise eclectica joint.  Though their show frequency is admirably high and brings something to the Franklin County hinterlands.

Ms. Pac Man is a plus.

My main negative is a strange vibe here where sometimes painfully hip patrons and certain staff members are very friendly, and the next time act almost like they've never seen you before.   Has the hostile hipsterdom of Northampton started to invade Turners?  For better or worse, The Voo was the harbinger of that invasion.  Probably for the better.  The 01376 needed something to balance out its crack habit.

Lowered to 2 stars for again being shut down by the board of health due to rat poo in their basement kitchen and insufficient washer temp to sterilize said gnarliness, mediocre beer selection with high prices for what they have, and general semi-pretentious dickishness of a good 1/4-1/2 of its staff and/or founders.  I'm a nice person so I usually don't feel very welcome there.  I've kind of figured out that it's not me, it's them, and that it's really not worth going here very often, unless you're having your early to mid20's coked up god-complex crisis.  Maybe I'll grow my beard back out and pretend to have a sculpture studio, to dupe the arty-snobs into a simple conversation with a regular non-trustafarian, non coke-addicted human male.  This place epitomizes what is missing from New England - human warmth and affordable beer prices.

The Rendezvous was born out of a local watering hole that is one of the oldest in the state. Resurrected into a moderately-priced pub/restaurant with lots of soul, comfortable seating and big windows, the Voo, as it is locally known, pays tribute to its history while integrating a vast array of traditional and eclectic victuals and libations, music and performances. There is something for everyone here, at almost any time of day or night. And there's ample outdoor seating to boot. Make this a dinner destination while on your day trip to Western Mass from Boston, or make it a regular haunt if you live in the Pioneer Valley. It is well worth the drive either way. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Home-stocked juke box. Free parking in the adjacent lot. Located right in the center of Turners Falls, just across the river from Route 2.

I used to go to the 'vous all the time when I was going to photography school in Turners Falls.

This place is the only decent bar in a 20+ mile radius. They have good food, and good drinks. While not cheaply priced, especially for being in a small town, they stay very busy on the weekends, and steady during the week.

The atmosphere is quite pleasant and they have some really fun vintage pieces decorating the walls. It's cozy when it's cold out. READ: All winter.

When the wi-fi is working it can be a great spot to get some work done on your laptop.

Service is weak if the big lady is bartending. The other bartenders, however, are attentive and helpful. There are reasonable waits for a drink when the bar is slammed. The owner is chatty and helpful, despite his roots as a new yorker, and makes the experience even better.

Rendezvous has been hosting a lot of shows and events. While they may not be the coolest things in the world, in a town like Turners anything at all seems noteworthy.

Bottom line: Better than average bar in a below average town. Go give them some money.

I stumbled upon the Rendezvous on a Friday at about 7 p.m.  Totally loved the atmosphere, very kitschy and cool.   Almost a hipster feel, but a bit more laid back.  The menu is fun, offering different sandwiches, microwave dinners, and even a bowl of Lucky Charms!  I tried the steak sandwich, and the meat was tender and seasoned well.  It came with a side of steak fries and aioli, and I left nothing on my plate.

The bar menu is just as appealing, for both the beer drinker and the martini sampler.  Lots of local beers on tap and interesting concoctions.

The only reason that the "Voo" is lacking one star from my rating is that when 8:00 hit, a band starting playing wayyyy too loud.  I noticed that when I stuck my fingers in my ears, they sounded pretty good.  However, they had the speakers up so loud that I'm sure if you were driving in your car over the Connecticut River Bridge that you could have heard the singers voice clearly.  Great band, I just wish that I could have heard my friends on the other side of the table!!

Stumbled upon the Voo last weekend and couldn't be more pleased.  What a funky little joint!  Good, real, creative food; full bar with interesting draft beers; games and music.  It feels like a labor of love by a very cool person, a place to hang out.  We'll be back for sure.

this place hosts some of the best events in the pioneer valley!  best quiz night i've ever been too, craft night, good music, a "phantom brain exchange" and more.
the beer and food are all good, but what makes the voo special is the warm and friendly feeling that permeates it all.
