This is the 4th time we've attempted to come here and eat. We try to support our local business and pick a different restaurant every week to try. The atmosphere is fantastic but unfortunately feel their food needs something to keep people coming back. When they first opened they had a very unique menu, different from what you can typically find in our "meat and potatoes" town but now they've replaced those unique menu items with burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. I would rather see them charge a little more and get a higher end menu versus them trying to keep up with the local restaurants and serving burgers. We ordered a burger, the bun was so burned it was actually black and not edible, we sent it back and didn't order anything to replace it because too much time had gone by. My husband ordered a pizza which he ate 1 slice of because it was lacking sauce and cheese, basically it was a piece of flatbread with a sprinkling of cheese and sauce. I think they could be great, just need to fine tune the food a little. The wine and drink selection is fantastic as well. Next time we come we'll stick to an appetizer and drinks.

Love the restaurant, ambiance and menu selection on a regular basis.  The reason for only 3 stars....entrees come out consistently lukewarm.

Great environment, loved the atmosphere, the cozy fireplace and the decor. They also have really nice open window seating for the summer season. One of the only places in town that has live music on the weekends. The wine selection is great and very tasty. However, if you are going for dinner the food is very gourmet. The portions are very small and simple. My sister and I ordered bruschetta and and it came in small bowls for us to assemble ourselves. My husband ordered a turkey gobbler and it came on white bread with the crust cut off and it was slightly soggy. I am not a picky eater, and I really do love rendezvous but I think the menu needs improvement. It was also a very busy night and it took at least 10 minutes just to get our drink order and then about 45 minutes to get our food, our waitress was too busy to see when our glasses were empty.Would love to eat dinner there but my past 4 experiences haven't been satisfying.

We stopped in here on our way to Mount Rainier, looking for some last bit of civilization before a big climbing trip up the mountain. Our group was pleasantly surprised to find this place, the pizza and ravioli were delicious, the beer selection was great and the atmosphere was excellent, with live music and great service.

I wasn't going to write this review, but decided it would possibly help the owners of this restaurant if they knew what a missed opportunity they have.

A group of 5 women decided to go here for lunch on a Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Good things were discussed, the reputation for great dinner atmosphere and top notch foods. We felt pretty good about our choice for lunch.

We were seated and the place was sparse. Only about 5 tables were taken. It took several minutes to get our menus and several minutes more for  water. Our waitress was obviously stressed out (visibly irritated...don't know why). We finally got the waitress back to the table to put our order in. 40 minutes later I got my "special" a turkey burger and a bowl of soup, lukewarm. The other 4 didn't get any food until 10 minutes after I received my food. I felt awkward eating in front of them, so I waited until more food started showing up. At this point we had been there nearly an hour!
The order for one was mixed up, and it took another 20 minutes to get the correction. She had to have it boxed up to take home...we ran out of time... and patience.
Our waitress apologized showing us exasperation and offered to comp one meal. I piped up and asked for two meals to be comped, which she did... complaining about working there and telling us she was definitely putting in her two weeks' notice.  We all looked at each other. Really?  She was no better than the kitchen staff.
So. Bottom line... left a bad taste.  The help (loosely used terminology) was so inept and the kitchen was either short handed or very poorly trained, I wish they would have warned us when we walked in so we could enjoy our lunch someplace else!

We asked to speak to the manager and our waitress said they left the building earlier. What? Inexcusable. If the owners of this business don't wake up soon, they will be putting a closed sign in the window.
    Permanently.

We *heart* Rendezvous so much, i was a little surprised to see the other reviews.  We don't eat out much here in da Claw, because food isn't so hot here at most places.  Rendezvous is always our first choice though.

Waitresses are kind and chatty, check in often with you during your meal.  The atmosphere reminds me of chill hangouts i frequented in Idaho's ski country. Food is fabulous... especially the ham, apple, and caramelized onion sandwich.  Portions are just right too.  You won't go home feeling like a Thanksgiving Day blimp.

With regards to family, we have no problems when we take our child.  There are pizza flatbreads or meat and cheese plates.  Prices for adult food are so reasonable, the kid orders off the adult menu.  The only time we haven't gone to eat here is Fri and Sat nights...they advertise bands those nights, so most likely that environment isn't so kid friendly.

All this said, we haven't ever sat at the bar.  I can't vouch for bar staff, but everyone else there is wonderfully kind and helpful.  Just as you would expect from 99% of the population from Enumclaw.

The best time we've ever had here was after the Fourth of July parade.  Staff handed out a coupon to parade watcher, so we thought we'd try it.  We were seated next to the roll up doors, cool summer breezes kissed our faces while we enjoyed our lunch...

Hope you give them a try soon.

After exploring downtown Enumclaw I decided to stop by this place - mainly because the happy hour was just starting (Saturday @ 2:00) and also I knew they had a few craft beers on tap.

There was about 12 people total at the restaurant.....super low key. I was one of the only people at the bar, besides a couple sitting next to me. When I sat down it took a couple of minutes before I was even acknowledged (there were two bartenders mixing drinks right in front of me the whole time). That was the 1st sign of poor service. I ended up ordering off the Happy Hour menu - a small 5-inch flatbread pizza & Stone's IPA.

After I ordered, the couple next to me spoke up and reminded the bartender that they had asked for another round of beers.... so not only are the customers being ignored, but their orders too - 2nd sign of poor service.

When I placed my food order it was 2:05....I waited. I finished my beer. I waited....and then I waited some more. Meanwhile, neither of the two bartenders said a word to me. I was about to walk out when my food finally came....at 2:40. The bartender slid the plate in front of me and walked off not saying a word. 3rd sign of poor service.

The one time I received a smile and eye contact from the bartenders was when I was leaving. Had they known I didn't tip them, they probably wouldn't be smiling at me. I can't imagine what this place would be like on a busy day.

This place has the potential to be really great. The atmosphere is very inviting and they have a good selection of wine/mixed drinks and about 6 craft beers on tap. I never had the chance to view what was on the menu, so I can't speak for that.

However, none of that is important if your business has lousy service.

A cozy local place.  It looks, feels, and runs like a bistro.   This is the kind of place worth driving the blocks of Enumclaw to find.   The food was HOT and excellent; the service par for a small town.  It's worth the visit.   If I were local...I'd be back.   A couple of critiques for the owners - ditch the Denny's style menu, grow your wine list, and don't let it become an old school "gin-mill".

Apparently they are making changes, we have come two times recently, we had a bottle of wine and some appetizer, which was good so we thought, hey lets try again.  We (my fiance and I) stood at the front waiting for a seat for 20 minutes, only because we were told a 20 minute wait, I asked if there was room in the bar, they said no, and it appeared that was in fact true.  About 10 minutes later about 4 people left the bar, and in comes 4 people that the hostess or waiteress knew, and she said, "Hey come with me, I have seats for you at the bar that just came open"  I was about to come unglued at this idiot, and the 4 idiots who took her up on this, but it is Enumclaw, so you do have your fair amount of rude peeps who could give a crap about anyone else.  Oh, did I mention I had back surgery 6 weeks ago?  Ya, I did, so standing for 30 minutes total at the doorway and getting screwed out of my place when my back was killing really bummed me out.  I then left and went to a backup spot around the corner which was on their game, and had an awesome dinner.  I probably wont be back as that was 3 visits, too bad, they just rub me the wrong way here, and no I did not ever take them up on the free appetizer offer from the first visit after a negative review.

Liked the idea of the wine "flight".  It gave me an opportunity to taste wines I would not normally buy.  But,  cob salad had packaged processed chicken, (too salty) and what tasted like bottled dressing.  The place was so noisy I could't hear the music or people at my table.  Waitress was friendly, service was OK.

My friend and I were looking for a bite on our lunch break. We happened to park next to this place, so we decided to give it a chance. It took a couple minutes to get seated. After chatting, deciding what to order, chatting some more, eating all the bread, changing our minds about what to order, and finally looking around to see what the hold up was...still no service. By the way, there were only 3 other tables and 2 waitresses and a manager so it's not like they were busy. When one waitress started to bus the table next to us, we decided to leave.
