  Rentz's is a family-operated restaurant-bar with great food, reasonable prices, friendly and prompt service, and a home-town atmosphere. The Rentz family came to Odell from the South Side of Chicago and know good food!
  
  There is a good sized dining room, small party room, and the tavern, complete with juke box & pool table.  During the day, sports (Chicago White Sox baseball is a favorite) or news will be playing on the BIG flat-screen TV in the tavern and many local farmers & farm-service workers will be there enjoying a tasty lunch special.
  
  Thursday evening is Italian night at Rentz's and quality steaks are  available most evenings. Pizza is another specialty.
  
  I've eaten at Rentz's many, many times in the last 20 years and highly recommend it to those visiting Odell or just passing through at exit 209 on Interstate 55, halfway between Bloomington-Normal and Joliet.
  
  This establishment observes the Indoor Clean Air Act, so smoking is not allowed indoors.
  
  The physical space has not been updated in a long time: This is not a fancy place, so come as you are (mostly casual or business casual).  
  
  This place is QUITE popular with the locals and those in the general area of Central Illinois. If you'd like to have dinner there on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, you will want to make a reservation ahead of time to ensure a table will be available for your party.
  
  ***Update:  The washrooms (toilets) are updated and always clean and well-equipped. ****
