I am REALLY happy with this bar. Â The new owners completely transformed what used to be a carcinogenic smoke filled, ugly dive bar and created a wonderful, upbeat (dare I say "trendy") place featuring a wide variety of craft beers that the owners update frequently. Â So, I almost always discover a new beer here. Â The pool table and dart boards are in good condition and generally available, depending on the crowd.
"Junior" and the other two owners are working with the city to get hard liquor and food service licenses. Â So, for now, you can't get food or mixed drinks, but the beer suits me just fine! :--)
Saturday nights are a LOT of fun here. Â The crowd is pretty young, local, but not thuggish. Â The bartender, Darcey, is really a cool girl, as are all the staff.
I always have a good time here!
One word on this bar, WOW! Not only is the newly remodeled bar a HUGE improvement but the overall welcoming factor is through the roof! The new outside is what got my attention, and I'm so glad I walked in! The new 24 taps greeting you at the door was a sigh of relief than just the ol t.v's glaring at you. The bartenders are really nice and well educated on the different craft beers they now have, including mixed beer options! I tried their "Dirty Hoe" drink, a wonderful mix of their Hoegaarden white beer and the Framboise, and my oh my what a party in my mouth! Overall this place is clean, new and ready to please, new dart boards and new attitudes will keep me coming back to try more "exotic" craft beers! I'm glad to FINALLY see some new life and light come into Shoppers Lane! Kudos to you guys, save me a drink or two! ;)
