I had a really bad experience here. I ordered two items: sweet potato fries and macaroni and cheese. I was with a group of people, and after they all received their food I was still waiting for the macaroni.  (I'm quiet, so I was hesitant to say anything) I finally asked the waitress where my food was. She told me that I had not ordered macaroni, and that it wasn't her fault, despite all of my friends having heard the order. She finally brought it out as we were ready to leave. I asked to talk to the manager and he took it of my bill, but never apologized or compensated me. While i was walking out another waitress was carrying and chair and accidentally hit me with it. Needless to say I left with an empty belly and a sour taste in my mouth.

There exists a mystery creation at Riley's. It's name is the Lamb Stew Breadbowl. Best used for celebrations with good people.

I was expecting much more from Riley's. While the food was decent, the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes to have our order taken, then another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, while the table next to us was  seated and served quickly. The lack of organization by the staff really hinders good service and an enjoyable outing. We will not be returning any time soon.

My favorite bar in Helena! Great location. Good pub food. Nice staff. Priced right. Can't really beat it.

Overpriced & food is mediocre at best.  $4.00 for a PBR??!!... The average in  town is $2.00.  I keep going there to try and change my mind, but it fails every time.

Póg mo thóin, bitches. I love a traditional Irish Pub, especially one that gets a little rowdy. The puke stain in the restroom tattled: this is a pub where drinking gets done. Despite the vomit splatter in the bathroom, the pub is otherwise pretty clean, but I'm just sayin', I like my pubs to be more authentic than sterile anyway.

We went to Happy Hour on a Friday and enjoyed $3 pints of local brews. The bartender was friendly, and we enjoyed the dark interior and bantering with other patrons. It's good a great vibe, and I hope to go back one of the nights they have live  Celtic music.

    Slán go fóill.

I have been to Riley's three times, all very disappointing. The service is slow and inattentive. The food is terrible. I sent back two items, one that I did not order and one that was served cold. Both times, the waitress was miffed that I was sending back food. I will never go back.

On a recent road trip with the boyfriend we found ourselves in Helena overnight and turned to our trusty travel companion, Yelp, to figure out where to have dinner. Riley's it was!

It was busy when we walked in, but we were immediately noticed by one of the servers and shown to a table, which was nice considering we'd never been before and didn't know the lay of the land. First impression once we sat down was that it was a really friendly place with a good atmosphere and filled with regulars. Plus, live Celtic-y music!

The food menu was extensive with many tempting items and after driving all day the salad options were a welcome sight (though, in hindsight, wishing I'd gone for the shepherd's pie or Irish stew). I enjoyed my cobb salad, though I would definitely recommend going for the half-size cause the regular was HUGE. We also tried the mozzarella sticks (delicious), the chicken soup (pretty good) and a sandwich that I can't remember right now, but the boyfriend thought was tasty.

A standout of the experience was our excellent server, Martin (who we decided didn't really look like a Martin and promptly renamed Ryan... don't ask). He was able to recommend beer, was quick with everything and really friendly. Not sure if or when we'll be back cause it's pretty much never that we're in Montana... ever... but definitely enjoyed it. Yelp didn't steer us wrong!

This is one of my favorite bars in Helena. Great atmosphere. Terrific food (try the meatloaf sandwich!).

Enjoyed a nice lunch today.  Not my first time here and won't be my last.  But really this is a Pub, the food is alright.  The beer and atmosphere is what makes this place.  I have enjoyed a few Guinness and Snakebites here.  They do serve some traditional Irish meals and have a wide variety of choices.  Live music usually on the weekends, plus a trivia night.

Riley's Irish Pub is in downtown Helena very near the walking mall.  I went there with a few people after a rehearsal dinner for some nightcaps + Olympics watching last week.  They both knew how and had the ingredients to make me a snakebite (most bars I've been to think I'm asking for a shot), so that was cool.  If I am ever in Helena again I wouldn't mind stopping by for another beer or three.  Also, when I was there the beers were $4.50.  Don't know what the food is like, but saw a few happy faces with plates in front of them.
