This place really is amazing.
It has a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and top notch pizza. Â The pizza is a personal size, or it could be shared if you aren't very hungry. There is a gluten free crust available which is made on site by hand. The options for pizza are very creative and are very satisfying. They are baked in a wood fired pizza oven.
The owner is a great guy who will personally wait on you and strike up nice conversation. He really puts love into the business and it makes a difference. I have always been impressed after eating here.
When you are done you can get some dessert at The Rivers or you can go into the grocery store that is in the front of the building and get treats. They have a great waffle cone at a great price.
I am so glad that this establishment is in Cable.
Excellent food! I wish we would have found this place years ago. The pizza was delicious. Atmosphere was great. Good beer selection. Key lime dessert was really good as well. My only complaint was that it was difficult to find. It is relatively unmarked--HINT, it's behind the bookstore/ Ideal market. We drove all the way down Kavanaugh St looking for it. Put up a bigger sign! This place was great.
Review Source:We had dinner here on a Thursday evening in July. Â Pizza was good and salad was great!! Â We also had a dessert special - it was a s'more type thing baked in a little dish. Â It was delicious (pretty sure that was nutella instead of chocolate) - but so rich that we couldn't finish it even though we split it. Â The staff here were friendly and the ambiance was really nice and laid back. Â If I lived near Cable, I'd go to this place all the time.
One caution - they are not open for lunch mid-week.
Always great food! Â Not a large menu, but the staff and energy of the place more than make up any desire for more. Â Fun pizzas, cold beer and specialty sodas along with a few unique tummy pleasers will fill the hunger needs of your whole crowd. Â Stop in and see CEOs, locals, DNR wardens, Tour de France veterans and World Cup skiers, there's even a pizza named after a local Olympian. Â Check the hours before you go and you won't be disappointed, there might even be some live music for your enjoyment.
Review Source:Excellent restaurant/pub in downtown Cable! Â Very convenient for anyone participating in local activities (biking, skiing, etc.). Â Owners Beth and Mick are very personable and concerned that their guests have a good experience. Â The pizza is wonderful and the beverages are great, too. Â Try it if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!
Review Source:I've been to this neat little place tucked in the back of a bookstore and market a few times now. I've never been disappointed.
The pizza is made with fresh ingredients and homemade dough right in front of your eyes in a wood fired stone oven. They also have great salads and a wide variety of beer and wine by the glass and bottle.
Most times I've eaten here, there has also been live music ranging from one man and a guitar to string quartet. Â It's a very light atmosphere and a perfect family treat.
Cool little restaurant in a great space (shared with The Ideal Market and Redbery books). Â The pizzas are each made to order (you can watch them) and the crusts and ingredients are first rate.
Very nice draft and bottled beer selection and a decent by the bottle offering (retail price with a $5 corkage fee). Â The by the glass offering could be improved but for being up North, it will do.
