Wow! Great food...diner atmosphere. Had the buffet; On the buffet, I chose ribs-great, fried chicken-good, baked potato mashed potatoes, fried okra and salad. Don't miss the cinnamon roll bread pudding on the buffet. Hubby had a hamburger, thought it was very good. Stopped by on our way from Texas to Illinois. Found it on Yelp. Might have to stop again on our way home!

Must Stop!!! On a roadtrip back from Rolla, MO to Enid, OK we needed lunch and decided to stop here from a recommendation from the gas station down the road. Its good diner food, if you're looking for good home-cooked food. There were 3 of us, we got the fried pickles, two servings of biscuits and gravy, french fries, home fries a bowl of vegetable beef soup and the world famous cinnamon roll. Let me tell you, that cinnamon roll was very easily the highlight of our day!!! It was HUGE! And so so good!!! The service was great, all of the food very tasty and if I'm ever headed that way again I will most certainly be stopping through there again!!!

Great breakfast. Have eaten breakfast buffet early in the day on weekend, was really good. Home cooked food, a local favorite.

Rocking chair has been a place to get decent food in Conway for a while now. The food is primarily things you would want from a small city diner. I always get the same thing any time my grandparents take my girlfriend and I.

I typically stay away from the buffet, due to the fact that the food taste like the cooks didn't put enough time and energy into the food on the buffet versus the food you order and they cook on the spot.

The reason I gave four stars is because rocking chair is a nice place to get away from big city food and fast food at a decent price. My grandparents love it, which makes me happy, everyone knows each other. It's typical Americana.

I, as you can imagine, did not choose to come to the "Rocking Chair Restaurant" out of my own will.  My grandmother wanted to have a Christmas dinner and invited everyone here.  Let's start with the highlights.

They had fried okra!  I love okra, especially when it's fried: automatic one star.  The second star is because of, because, um, well it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that great.  Oh, the buffet was only $9.49 a person, so maybe that's the second star.

On to the not so great portion of the review regarding food.

» The frog legs were bland.
» The coleslaw had too much dressing.
» The sweet potatoes tasted, odd.
» The white gravy was too watery.
» The "pot pie" was gross unless you ate part of the crust with the bite.
» The red velvet cake looked odd, and my grandpa said wasn't good.
    » ... I could continue, but I think I made my point.

The building itself needs more lighting on the outside so you can see it.  When I walked in, I immediately felt out-of-place.  Me in my Energy jeans and faux-fur-collared jacket, other people in their hick attire.  :-)  Okay, I'm just playing that up a bit, but you get the idea.

Inside the restaurant was a little flea market thing of sorts along the wall.  I mean, sure I want to buy a little rocking horse when I eat dinner?  The buffet was clean, that's a decent plus.

The service was terrible.  I know the waitress was busy, but she had a hard time keeping drinks refilled and clearing away plates.

The bathroom was cold, and to make it worse, the men's restroom is right next to the buffet.  Gross!  When you walked in, I saw a space heater on the counter and a curtain for a stall door.  I really didn't question it.  I mean, I was in Conway, so I'm not judging, but come on, make a little more effort.

If you're starving and have $11 bucks, then sure stop by, but don't expect anything extravagant.
