this place use to be good, now the food is hit and miss. very sad. last time two times I got food from there the rice and beans where watered down like they added water to them to reuse old food. The owner is confrontational when I criticized the change in the food quality. I won't be going back. I think Los Amigos got all their good cooks anyways.
Review Source:My wife and I live in Bonham and this is a favorite of ours. Â I'm a big fan of the enchiladas (the "Juarez" is probably my favorite) Â and my wife loves the "Fajitas For One" dinner. Â If you ever pass through Bonham while traveling and need to take a break from the road, give Rolando's a try. Â If you just moved to the area, give them a try. Â The staff is courteous and will make you feel welcome. Â We love this restaurant.
Review Source:Eh, out of all the Mexican food joints in this town, Rolando's isn't very high on my list. Â Don't get me wrong, they have some decent lunch specials and will do if you're having a hankering for such, but the food is usually extremely greasy and pretty bland. Â I usually only go at the request of co-workers who want a lot of food for cheap.
I can usually get out of here for less than $10 including tip. Â If you want a lot of meat (TWSS!), order the fajitas which come loaded down with chicken or steak and a lot of onions. Â For the price, it's an amazing amount of food. Â They have decent combo plates and I like their fajita meat salads if they could put about half the normal amount of cheese they use. Â Though I eat them while I'm there, I'm not crazy about the chips, which are thick and have no taste. Â They're served in baskets, though theres usually more crumbs than whole chips. Â Honestly, that doesn't matter much because the salsa is typically kinda thin and runny.
The service is usually friendly and quick, and there's never been a wait for a table since I started going. Â It's appearance is pretty outdated and there are some random decorations, though this isn't the place you come for ambiance. Â I'm not a big fan of smelling like grease when I leave, but that happens I suppose...
The premiere Mexican food restaurant in the county. Â This place has been serving $4 lunches for over 20 years and they never get it wrong.
Cheap, fast, friendly, tasty. Â Only problem is that it's in Bonham, TX! Â I used to live there so have many fond memories of awkward dates and family outings.
