Why did I do it again? I should've learned my lesson last time I ordered here.
Shame on me.
I ordered a simple large cheese pizza with feta cheese on one side and Sun dried tomatoes on the other.
Guess what?
Sun dried tomatoes were burnt into a caramelized chewy tangle of mess. Seems like Roma's is still inconsiderate of what counts as an acceptable preparation of food.
I can say that I believe their dough to sauce ratio has gotten better but their sauce still tastes like it's right out of a can.
We ordered a pizza in hopes they could deliver not expecting much because of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised.
The staff seemed friendly, adept & professional. Delivery was quick and the pizza actually was tasty. We got a mushroom, pepperoni & onion. A tad small for a large pizza but we've noticed almost everywhere the large pizza has diminished in size.
Overall, we are syked about a delivery service in Rougemont that has good pie. Don't count this place out just yet.
Roma's is an OK pizza. Â In other words, it is better than frozen pizza! Â The sauce is too sweet and they skimp on the toppings, crust doesn't taste fresh. Â Its too bad because if they perfected their craft, they could have the area locked up in sales. Â We prefer Costco's take and bake.
Review Source:I too am happy to have a place so close to my home in Bahama. But, what kind of restaurant does not publish a website with a menu?? Geez, I'm sitting here wanting pizza for our supper or a calzone if available and I have no idea what I can order because no where on line can I find a menu. C'mon Roma....invest a few bucks and get modern...put your menu and prices online. Guess I'll drive down to Durham to Domino's. And, I do not pay any attention to stuff mailed to me in the mail such as a pizza menu. When I'm ready, I go online and look around to see what combinations are available.
Review Source:When we moved out to Rougemont, we were not expecting to have delivery pizza as an option. What a happy surprise.
The toppings are good, the sauce is tasty. The crust isn't so great and is the only thing bringing down an otherwise great pizza.
Update:
They seem to have been experimenting with the crust. It comes and goes - some weeks I love it, others I'm back to meh. Experimentation, or changing sources? Either way, I hope they settle it down so I know what to expect.
We've expanded into their salads and sandwich offerings. As a rule, the sandwiches are tasty.
But beware the Caesar Salad. They use iceberg lettuce instead of romaine, which is excessively awkward. The dressing is quite good, though.
