  No need to leave the Thruway when you travel, just pull in to the next Service Plaza and get a warm meal at a decent price.  Fast food, for sure, but when you need to take a break from driving, this is a pretty good option to assist in your travels.
  
  Heading west out of Albany, a good place to take a break.

  This place is bummin at 6 am.  No one around, and the only food to eat are greasy breakfast sandwiches and prepacked muffins.  no fruit to speak of.  At least they had coffee.  This stop was an ominous beginning to a really long road trip and the horrors of highway coffee.
