The service was really really slow. Â I also was bummed that despite being able to TOUCH the bar from my table, I was not able to have a drink special since I wasn't in a bar seat. Â Oh well - I was willing to overlook that. Â Eventually the food came, not good. Â My Caribbean chicken was just some plainly cooked chicken with a REALLY spicy "salsa" on it. Â The salsa was not freshly made so all the diced pieces didn't taste good and were "limp." Â It also came with coconut shrimp which were deep fried to hell - not good at all. Â My kids' food was okay, but they didn't mention that the side was extra so wasn't expecting that extra up-charge. Â It also was a bit confusing - my dinner came with two free sides (note: the spaghetti squash is terrible), but the kids' came with zero sides so their side of grapes got added to my bill. Â Kids' meal also did not come with an included drink. Â When I tried to talk to my server about some of our issues, he wouldn't talk to me. Â Refused to listen and said I could talk to his manager if I wanted to. Â Will Not be back.
Review Source:Food was decent but not worth the horrendous service. Waited at least 20 minutes to be waited on initially. Took at least another 30 minutes to get food. My husband had to ask wait staff not to curse around our young children. Had to get a manager to bring our check because we couldn't find our waitress. Ridiculous.
Review Source:He said: Ruby Tuesday isn't usually my thing, but we ended up here. It was fine. Â i bumped it down to 3 stars. Service a tad slow. Food fine.
She said: I've eaten here several times. The food is usually good, and consistent with the quality of other Ruby Tuesday restaurants. Â I'll be back!
I got sick from the food at this restaurant. After contacting the manager, I received an automatic response from head quarters, but I have not received any response from the restaurant, even after two additional requests.. Service was slow, food at the salad bar picked over or partial empty. The bean soup had cold chicken inside. I would not go back there again.
Review Source:The first thing I did when we walked in was ask if Candy was working cause the last reviewer said she hated life, so I kinda wanted to sit in her section to see if she was just having a bad day then. The sweet hostess asked if I was "kin" - I being a Yankee thought she said Kim but whatever. She told me she no longer worked here so we had Dee instead who was perfectly nice.
We didn't order anything complicated but It took at least 20 min for our food to arrive.
Granted, it was a very late lunch so the staff might have been changing over but the 3-4 tables surrounding us sat dirty throughout our meal.
Food wasn't bad but I wonder why if you order a side salad with your meal you automatically get ranch. If you ask me, ranch defeats the purpose of a salad.
Well look around-- you're in the outback--of west Virginia.
I've definitely been to better Ruby Tuesdays but there's not much else around...
This was definitely in the Top 10 worst meals I've ever had. After sitting in a car for 9 hours to get here en route to Pittsburgh, we stopped for dinner. Keep in mind this review is only for the Beckley, WV Ruby Tuesday's. I go to one in Charlotte, NC en route to Hilton Head, and it is always great.
After being seated and our order being taken, my party and I waited 45-50 minutes to be served. When the food came out, it was room temperature (bordering on cold) but put on hot plates. I ordered the Carolina Salad which was supposed to have slivered almonds, bacon, croutons, and other good things on it. What arrived was a garden salad (tomato, cucumber, carrot, peas) with room temp chicken fingers on top. It looked okay enough, and I was hungry, so at the time I didn't realize it was actually just a completely wrong salad, and not at all what I had ordered. Then I went to taste it. The lettuce at the bottom was that dark, black, watery mess which should be code that the lettuce is too old to be used. After weeding out the bad lettuce from the still okay, there wasn't much left. Eventually I gave up and decided to eat the peas and the chicken only. When I neared the bottom of the bowl, I then found a large twisted piece of plastic saran wrap in the salad (it was literally stuck to the side of the bowl). Needless to say, I stopped eating completely at that point.
The service was equally as bad. The waitress (I think her name was Candy) clearly hates her life and her miserable attitude is brought to work and transferred to the unfortunate people who have to have her as their waitress.
I understand that the kitchen problems should not be taken out on the waitstaff, but when the food is bad and the service matches the food, I will never return. Â If possible, I hope to never return to Beckley, WV in general.
