Amasa is a little town located north of Crystal Falls along US 141. In this forgotten little town, you'll find little excitement on their main strip. Most places are decrepit or shuttered, but not Rusty Sawblade. It has the feel of an old logging lodge, with antiquated wood-cutting tools along the walls, which makes it a very genuine place for this part of Michigan. We always come for the Friday fish fry dinner. Service is good, the menu is limited, but the people are friendly and helpful here. There's a bar and pool table, jukebox, and darts to keep you occupied till the food gets there. If you're in a hurry, go someplace else. Rusty Sawblade does not take reservations. Being a local assures you priority table seating, but not in a snobby sort of way. People know each other by name here. We hook up with our friends when we come by, so we never have to wait long for a table.
