I've been to this location two times, while visiting family in the area.
First, they have two large sized rooms for groups to use. I have only had meals in eithe room with a large group.
The food, it is a buffet of southern styled food to be eaten in mass quantities. The food is cooked well and a step above fast food places. There is a variety of foods, but they are often running out of popular items. They have a full salad bar and other tables for main courses and dessert. I have been to a few different buffet places and this would be a slight step ahead of Old Country Barfett.
Waiter/Waitresses only really serve drinks and bus plates. They have a large area to cover, so do not expect quick service with either. They are friendly.
Bathrooms, well the men's room, was filthy on the two visits I have had here.
The location does have a veterans room with pictures of local vets and those who died from the area. It is a really nice touch if you get to use that room.
Price is cheap and you can stuff yourself with more food than should be allowed to be eaten by one person in one sitting.
Not bad at all for a buffet style restaurant. The food is good and, of course, plenteous. The waitresses are attentive, and the staff are all friendly.
Big criticism--the bathrooms are filthy! Makes you wonder about other parts of the restaurant behind the scenes...like the kitchen. But I've never gotten sick from eating there so they must be doing something right.
My fave foods are the black-eyed peas, the sweet potatoes, and the desserts.
I'd recommend Ryan's for when you've got a big eater in your family but a small budget.
