I was driving around and calling around to local bars in Yuma to catch the Pirates & Braves game. All the bars I drove by were down right scary. Apparently, almost all bars in Yuma don't believe in a happy hour. We went to this bar because it was close by to our hotel. Dive. No food. No happy hour. It was dark. The average age of the people in here was 67 or older. Now, I can have fun anywhere. I've had a lot of fun in dives with older people. This isn't one of them. Our bottles were about $3.25 each. I was bored to death. The game was in a delay. The only tvs were up above the bar. We had to leave after one beer. Now, to be fair, I'm not from Yuma. I do like a good dive bar here and there. This, just no fun. Really boring. Maybe if you've lived in Yuma your whole life and you go there after work with an old friend. There's just nothing attractive or worth going back here for. It was also excrutiatingly quiet.
Review Source:This is the best dive bar we found.
(Went to Pop-A-Top also and that was pretty good).
We found this place accidentally. Â The bartender from Outback told us to go to Showcase, on our way to Showcase we drove by Sage and Sand and it looked pretty divey... Â Then we parked at Showcase, and walked in, and walked out... Â Bad sign when there is one car in the parking lot and two people at the bar...
Sage and Sand had life, the Bartender was really friendly. Â She tried to get my Dad to do karaoke. Â We joked with her asking her how much it rained in Yuma...
Cool decorations and old maps / antiques inside the bar, had a Western feel to it. Â
The place gave off a good aura.
