We went here this weekend to see Serenada Hill play some kickin' tunes. Adorable place, very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. We got the Big Bully (red) and were amazed at how smooth it was. We also had a white but I can't recall the name of it. It was definitely one of the better white wines I've had. Oh! And they were extremely generous with their pours also! We will certainly be back. I regret not buying a couple bottles of the Bully to bring back to Austin... Maybe next time.
Review Source:This was a cute little wine shop that only sells wine from Texas which was interesting. It was a very clean and organized and the person behind the counter  was very knowledgeable. They do wine samples which was awesome - the only downside was that there is a grouping of wine already pre-selected to sample. They sell wine by the glass for bottles  that are already open but if you buy a bottle he'll open it for you so that you can have a glass before you leave.
We bought a bottle of wine, a few truffles and did the tasting for 2 and he didn't even charge us for the tasting.
Excellent selection of Texas wines and gifts. Â Perfect location to host an event or throw a wine tasting party. Â Helpful staff offers great advice for food pairings and selections. Â Wines available for tasting allow you to sample before you buy a bottle. Â Walked out with several bottles to enjoy later!
Review Source:This is an adorable, romantic, and artsy place to visit! Â
The Owner June was very nice, gracious and even provided us a map of all the wineries located in Texas. Â
She offered us five wines to taste and all were made in Texas. Â We enjoyed the Riesling and Sangria. Â However, we ended up purchasing the Kriskindel wine for $13.95. Â The Kriskindel wine is a wine that must be heated before serving. Â It is a great Christmas drink and is popular in Germany. Â
I highly recommend this wine bar! June also mentioned at the end of March 2010, they would have a wine festival.
