Sandy's Clam Bar and Grill

Actually, to call this place a hole in the wall would be insulting to holes-in-the-walls everywhere!  But, you know what?  You have to see through the ambiance to see that this place is awesome!  Go there some weekday afternoon, pull up a bar stool and order a couple dozen littleneck clams, some chicken fingers and a few orders of shrimp cocktail.  I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.  The food is reasonably priced, delicious and the bartenders are very personable.  Haven't been there at night in a few years, but it is also a very cool place to see a show (saw Ernie William there a few years back and the place was rocking).

I think it would be safe to call Sandy's a hole-in-the-wall. But they have some of the best hot dogs in the area...and that is high praise. And they have very good clams, the service is very good and they have Genny Beer. I believe in hockey that is called a hat trick.
