I have grown up on Cleverdale and this is a neighborhood favorite. The place is a gem and only locally known which makes this place even more special. The waitresses know who you are and will even sit down at your table when they are not super busy and talk with you. The entire staff is friendly, even the manager loves walking around and talking to guests in between serving drinks at the bar.The food is average but always consistent. They recently put in new pizza ovens down stairs and serve their own home made pizzas, they are highly recommended especially in this area where a good pizza is hard to find. ASK FOR DESSERT! many people don't realize that the sans serves great desserts, I highly recommend the brownie sundae, it is huge and so good.

If you are in town and want a bite to eat, a drink at the bar, a place for kids to play some arcade games or pool, then the sans is a local must do.

We'd been spending our summers in Cleverdale off Lake George literally since I was a baby (And since my mother and grandmother were babies) and I'm sad we waited this long to discover Sans. My uncle and his family are avid fans, so we had to give it a try this year.

Tucked down Cleverdale Road almost all the way to the point, Sans has got to be a local favorite. My family and I went on a Friday night and it was PACKED, but well worth it. We showed up around 7 PM, and by 7:30 it was a full house.

I had the fish and chips with a crock of french onion soup, the boyfriend had a special...the clam boat...and bro had a build your own burger. The food here is amaaaaazing. My haddock was nice and flaky, topped with lemon chunks and laying on a bed of hot "chips". Had to get myself some vinegar. Oh yes. Experience.

The boys both respectively loved their meal. My dad and bro had gone for lunch a few days prior and would like me to give their waitress Emma a quick shout out, and they hope her ankle feels better.

That's the vibe you get from this place. Personable, genuine, and really good food. Our waitress was Becky, also very friendly and attentive. Thank you Becky!

My only gripe about the entire night was being sat next to the pool table. The waitstaff is faultless in this instance, but the group (also from Philly) who decided to play a rousing game of pool right next to mine and my mother's heads FAIL at spacial analysis. Nothing  ruins the experience of a nice bowl of soup like having to tactically dodge a pool stick while you eat it.

There's a Pizza Oven located downstairs for those of you who'd like to dine at home. We didn't get pizza this year, but it smelled wonderful.

Parking is a bit rough, so if you're staying in Cleverdale I'd recommend walking or biking. If you're staying anywhere in the Lake George vicinity, take the drive down Cleverdale point and visit Sans Souci. There are some gorgeous houses you can droll over, and some delicious food to sate said drool.

Great local place to kick back, relax, and eat some solid bar food. Went during a cold rainy Saturday for dinner and the bar area was pleasantly filled. They were out of the two things I wanted (Sicilian pizza, the turkey/cranberry sandwich) but the fish 'n chips I got in lieu were very fresh and tasty, a huge portion, and kept well (the next day I made the leftovers into a sandwich).

Service was perfect -- the waitress was very sweet and friendly.

Good, local.  Restaurant is good.  Bar is active with locals.

    They do do take-out.

Appetizers are good, pizza is good for kids.
