This is now called Julie's diner. Â Like most small town diners, you'll get daily specials and friendly service. Â Julie's is no exception.
I stopped by for breakfast one morning and it was much quieter than I had expected, but it was still early. Â The food was a disappointment for me, unfortunately. Â I wasn't expecting that either. Â The American fries were the one bright spot -- they were big, uneven chunks of crispy potato. Â The eggs were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. Â The bacon wasn't good. Â It looked and tasted like the precooked bacon that many fast food restaurants serve on their breakfast sandwiches. Â You get the crunch, but not the taste.
Still, the portions were huge, the coffee was hot, and the service (by Rose) was outstanding. Â I'll stop by again, if only to try some of the specials which looked really good.
