Sassy's Diner

This is now called Julie's diner.  Like most small town diners, you'll get daily specials and friendly service.  Julie's is no exception.

I stopped by for breakfast one morning and it was much quieter than I had expected, but it was still early.  The food was a disappointment for me, unfortunately.   I wasn't expecting that either.  The American fries were the one bright spot -- they were big, uneven chunks of crispy potato.  The eggs were overcooked to the point of being rubbery.  The bacon wasn't good.  It looked and tasted like the precooked bacon that many fast food restaurants serve on their breakfast sandwiches.  You get the crunch, but not the taste.

Still, the portions were huge, the coffee was hot, and the service (by Rose) was outstanding.  I'll stop by again, if only to try some of the specials which looked really good.
