This place would be good ANYWHERE in the country. Â The fact that it's up in the middle of nowhere makes it almost magical.
I have a lot of experience with BBQ, and the Seaway Diner has the BEST smoked turkey I have ever had. Â Its got a delicate flavor and is extremely moist- something that is hard to achieve when smoking turkey. Â Everything else is great too. Â The smoked pork is a 9 out of 10 and the ribs are excellent. Â
For a few years I ate here, and only had their BBQ items- why venture away from perfection? Â But then one day, I decided to try one of their burgers. Â Phenomenal is the only word to describe it. Â Besides a burger I had a place in Buffalo, it was the best I've ever had.
Service is great as well- even when they are swamped on a friday or saturday night, you never have to wait and the staff is very courteous. Â
Prices are good. Â In fact, I think you get more than you pay for.
My only complaint is that they sometimes run out of multiple things. Â Not a big deal really, as everything on the menu is so good, you won't mind getting something else.
Easily 5 stars. Â A diamond in the rough.
Smoked meats are good. Â The highlight of this place is if you have kids, they do have an icecream section attached to the building out front and they have a pig...a miniature pot-belly pig, named Ellie-Belle. Â The kids are given cups of popcorn to feed her after they have their icecream and they love it.
