On our way home from visting family in Central OR we decided to pop by and check out the digs here at The Shack. I was surprised as I walked through the door at how large the place really was. There are several pool tables and def has an "old buddy small town vibe". Â The food was actually pretty good and the drinks were good as well. Â This will def be a place I stop at again in the future.
Review Source:Up on the mountain, The Shack is the place locals hang out...construction workers, boarders and more. Phil sold the place and new owners took over March 17th and are bringing back the Lottery, live music, and adding new items like homemade cookies, handmade chips, peanut butter cups and a special ground bacon & beef burger. Â Coors Light is on tap, and happy hour drinks are less than $3. Â If you are a smoker, there is a patio out back.
Big screen tvs, video games including Ms. Pacman, free wireless internet and a happy atmosphere. Â All the servers are positive, fast and friendly.
I hear the menu is changing a bit, but the staples will still be there including Taco Tuesdays. Â The new owners, who have prior experience with the Whistle Stop and Brightwood Tavern, want to cut back a bit on the fried food too.
For folks who stopped coming after Lottery was pulled, come back and try it again!
