  We drove from Indianapolis, IN to Mt. Carmel, IL to visit grandma. We held out past the McDonald's until we slammed on the brakes to eat here for breakfast. Never having been before, we were slow to realize that the non-smoking area of this small restaurant is through a glass storm door in a separate little room, with separate heating and cooling. Nice! Unfortunate that the entire section is only 3 tables, no booths.
  
  The interior is void of any charm. They have a few old-timey type decorations hanging up (and some odd redneck humor items too), but the general feeling is somewhere between "locker room" and "partially finished basement". It was clean enough though, and there was plenty of parking in the gravel lot.
  
  Our food was good. I had a ham and cheese omelet, which came with a biscuit or toast. I chose the biscuit and then added a side dish of sausage gravy. Glad I did, because the gravy was quite good. The omelet was pretty standard: American cheese, cubed ham, rolled up in flat egg. My partner had the country-fried steak breakfast off the specials board. Everything was tasty except 1)he asked for American cheese on his scrambled eggs, and they came out with cheddar 2)meal was supposed to come with coffee and it never showed up. The juices we had (orange and grapefruit) were from concentrate and I'll likely pass the next time.
  
  We'll definitely stop by again on our way out 67...this restaurant isn't far from Mooresville, Plainfield, Martinsville area.
