  The restaurant has had several owners and name changes and several major guttings and rebuildings from the time it was known as Connections. Formerly known as Breakfast Barn, it recently underwent renovation and the current name is now Shakey Jake's Pub and Grub. Their menu is varied and very reasonable.  All of their food is fresh and prepared to order. We have never had anything there that has not been great.
  
  They recently won second place at a regional charity food expo called Taste of Tipton. They placed with their catfish which met with rave reviews from the locals, which for this rural and agrarian area of the country is probably one of the all time favorites. Not being an ichthyophile, I am not qualified to comment; however their boneless buffalo wings, burgers, and especially their bacon cheddar fries are top rate.  Do beware that their Hot level on the Boneless buffalo wings are at the top end of the scale. They have one level above Hot, which, based on what I experienced with the hot level would be for die-hard heat fanatics only.
  
  They also have daily specials which many people order and then take a second order home with them, especially chicken and dumplings, and other comfort foods.
  
  They recently started serving breakfast on Saturday morning from 8-12.
  
  We have been waiting for a place like this for quite a long time. In an area plagued by fast food restaurants it is nice to finally have something in the middle besides Chili's and Milano's to go to just to relax and have a good time with friends. If you're in the area this is a must go to place. They do serve beer (only), but other than that, the place is very family friendly. They even have a billiard table and a dart board for those so inclined. Very highly recommended.
