Not quite a fan, but getting there.  We recently decided to try the Shed again and were, food wise, pleasantly surprised.  I had complained before about the lack of quality when it came to their pizza and wings but that seems to have improved.  On this visit the pizza was much better and it seems that they've turned to actual dough and not pre-made.  It makes all the difference.  The wings were much better too, both in quality and especially size.  My wife had a burger, which have always been good.

Service remains a down-spot.  Most of the staff seems young and unprofessional.  On this night one waitress was older and was clearly pretty good.  The others young and most seemed content to sit on the back counter of the bar and flirt with the bartender, who must have been, but didn't look to be 21.

Overall, we'll return since the food seems to be moving forward in a positive direction, but would love to see more items added to the menu AND a few more food choices on the menu.

Loved it!!!!  I had the burger, with the works, on Jalapeno bun. Sure, a burger is a burger but this was a real burger at it's finest.  Nothing fancy or fussy, just super good and tasty, fast and fresh. The lettuce and pickles were nice and crispy crunchy...the beef was real, cooked just right and not greasy....the bun added the WOW factor to my meal.  If I were a vegetarian, I would order this meal, minus the meat, and be a happy camper 'cause the bun is soooooo good!  I had chedder on my burger but had the option of swiss or blue. I am a big eater and I couldn't finish this meal with the fries. It's not a small burger by any means and the meal price is very reasonable ($8.95 with the sweet potato fries). This was the perfect finale to our day of wine tasting and shopping in Salado.

Service: The place seemed moderately busy with about 3/4 of the tables occupied. Even so, the staff was both friendly and fast. Our drinks were refilled without waiting. We were checked on a few times (they didn't bug us and they didn't ignore us...seemed just right to me).

Menu: I can't speak to the rest of the menu since hubby and I both had burgers. Yes, the menu is limited to typical pub/tavern fare (local pub, duh?)...still, hubby and I agree the burgers and service were great!

Bottom line: Great burgers, great service, great coffee  excellent bargain.

PS, after all that wine tasting I needed a good cup of coffee before our long drive home...here, I got a fresh brewed steaming mug of excellent drip, not overpriced mediocre espresso...and a refill...yes, a free refill...I didn't even have to ask for it or wait for it  BRILLIANT!!!!

service... Owners (assumption on my part) were sitting at bar chatting and staff was running behind... Think they could have helped move things along.  Realize that this isn't fast food... But over an hour for dinner (burgers) seems a bit much....

This place has some of the best atmosphere, friendliest people, and best food I've ever had. It's the kind of place where you just want to hang out and visit. I have been there several times now and the food has been comsistantly great and the beer cold. My favorite is the burger on a jalapeno bun with a cold Shiner. Try it next time your in town, you wont be disappointed.

The menu is limited and generic but is the only place in the area under $10 a plate. Imagine a locally owned & even more impersonal Chili's. If you're looking for something with character this isn't the place. The chili comes from a can. I had the wings. $7 for 6 wings I know came pre-breaded from a frozen Tyson bag. The Shed serves some of the worst food I have ever had.
