  I enjoyed every meal. Enjoyed chatting with the owner he enjoys his work you can tell.
  I liked all the food. By bad i did not see they put Swiss cheese on the patty melt.  I'm not a fan. the knife scrapped it off cleanly :)  I had 4 Meals there more beer. they have a  a very nice SELECTION of beers to choose from bottles and tap.
  
  I agree with the other person. No idea why the negative review.  
  
  Face it, you walk into those places along a highway  a lone exit with a shell sign 60 feet in the air. thinking I will regret this choose wisely Luke.
  
  I was excited to see other meals on the table and all my reservations were relieved.
  
  They are doing a great job. Sausage and biscuits 11:00 at night  delicious and no oil floating in the gravy. the dishwasher probably put my plate back on the rack.

  We discovered Shommy's by recommendation of a sign on I-70 when we needed to stop, eat, and let our child stretch his legs.  We were completely amazed by this place.  Good, quality, family diner style food.  Fresh blueberries on the pancakes, good meat on the sandwich, hand cut fries.  Not gourmet, but simple foods cooked well and with good ingredients.  The service was friendly, and the bathrooms were very clean.  We are making note of this place for future road trips.  It is a great break from travels along I-70.

  I can't imagine why one person gave this restaurant such a poor review! We had trouble finding it, but the waitress (who I suspect may have been the owner) was very welcoming and friendly. She wanted to know if we didn't like what we ordered, as she would get us something else, but we found the pork tenderloin with mushrooms excellent. She joined in the sports rivalry that developed between another customer and myself, as a college bowl game was on the TV. My husband and I had no complaints. We shared a meal and had leftovers to take to our hotel besides!

  Shommy's is probably the most classic example of what not to do in running a restaurant.  Parachute, CO has 3 eateries worth stopping at, and 2 of them are fast food....there's no competition!!  You couldn't buy a seat in this place when they opened, now it's surprising to see any tables filled.  All these guys had to do was provide slightly effective service and consistently mediocre food...they fail on both counts.  Even with the generally empty house, I still here reports about how bad the service and food are.
