  I'm just passing through town, saw this was one of two places that was listed as a sports bar with any reviews, called and asked if they were showing a game I cared about, az wildcats vs the ducks, they said, "if its on basic cable we can throw it on for you."
  
  Now, that's nice and all, but if you are a sports bar, you do NOT have basic cable only. I was going to rate two stars but read they have a drunk bus. That's very cool, and safe!

  My girlfriend and I were in town for a day. We were told about this place by the locals who informed us it wasn't much but at least it was an okay place. It was as the locals said. It's not great but a bar in town is better than no bar in town. The bartenders are okay. It definitely caters to the sports-loving crowd.

  Stopped in Texarkana on the way out west to stay with my buddy Greg and we came to Shooters.  It's not my scene, but if I lived there I'd probably go a lot because we had a good time and there is some good people watching.  The vibe is very Texas.  A lot of country and people who like country.
  
  I did really like the fact that they have their own drunk bus to give you a ride home.  Don't forget to tip them generously!

  Shooters is pretty much one of the only places to go on a Friday or Saturday night in Texarkana. You have to pay a $5 cover to get in but they'll sometimes have a band or just have music playing. One side of the bar is filled with pool tables. The other side is more of the dance floor where the band plays. In the middle is the actual bar where you get your drinks. They have tables situated all over the place and even upstairs where you can see everything too. On the weekend nights, there are a lot of people who dance on the dance floor so it's really not that bad of a place. They also serve food there too and their alligator bites aren't bad. Shooters does show the UFC fights every time but if they have a band, the band will be playing through the fights so you won't actually get to hear the fights. They are also not opened on Sundays so for being a Sports Bar, you can't really see the NFL games at all.
