Very clean cafe.  The food, service and prices were very good and well worth the short drive off the interstate.

This place has a big sign out front proclaiming that they have the best bread pudding in Montana.  Well, as it turned out we didn't get a chance to find out because we ate so much really good enchilladas we didn't have room for dessert.  However, a group of people going inside at the same time we went in said the bread pudding is not only wonderful, but the cinnamon rolls are even better.  I definitely plan on going back and trying this place again as I will be traveling between Helena and Butte a few times in the near future.  My companion and I both had Mexican dishes and it was all good!  They have a red hot sauce that is truly HOT but good.  You might ask to have it served on the side the first time just to make sure you can handle it.  
Our waitress was super friendly, too, and the service was excellent.  If you happen to find yourself traveling  I15 going between Helena and Butte, take a turn into Basin.  Love it!
Not sure why this place is classified as "Nightlife"....maybe it was a tavern in the past but it is a cafe now.
