This is the third time I've reviewed Sliders and they just get better and better. The food's really good, cooked on site and they support local breweries. But what really sets Slider's apart are the owner's Marty and Phyllis and the music. Between bluegrass jam sessions, open mike night and live bands on weekends, this is a great place to enjoy an inexpensive dinner and a cozy concert. Love this place!
Review Source:I stumbled upon this place while biking on the bucolic back roads of Carnation this weekend. I was pleased that our group (4) of cyclists were welcomed to put our bikes in the secure (fenced) outdoor seating area while we enjoyed a casual lunch. The grilled cheese and coleslaw were delicious (although the sandwich would be better if made with extra sharp cheddar) and inexpensive. The husband of the owner couple, Marty, is the former sound man for the New Melody tavern (now Tractor Tavern) in Ballard and has some cool music accouterments on the walls including a slide guitar he made himself (hence the name Sliders).
Marty's wife, Phyllis, is also a seamstress and has some really funky western ware for those wanting to update their country-music-bar-scene apparel.
As another reviewer has pointed out, they get some of their produce from local organic farm, Full Circle.
I'd definitely come back and maybe even drive out on a Friday or Saturday night for some live music. Seems like these folks know how to run a place that suits city slickers, bicyclists, and locals just right!
