I'm kind of a-little-more-than-a-little upset that this place closed again. I used to live right down the street from it and we used to have to drive at least an hour to see some decent bands play. This one still didn't get *huge* acts or anything like that. But we had in the past drove out of our way to see Electric Six play live and this place brought them 5 minutes from our apartment!! Awesome! They did have some bad bands too but don't most places? And I found it cool that even though this place was practically attached to Chandler it didn't draw ONLY Chandler kids (no offense, Chandler kids). Even though I'm not a fan of any bar you have to pay a cover to get into, this one I didn't mind. Plenty of TV's and never too crowded from what I could tell (Although not crowded enough it turns out). And there was plenty of parking as well. I guess I have kind of a soft spot for this place because the bar was pretty big, the stage was big but still intimate because there was no gate blocking the stage from the audience, and me and my friend were actually pulled up on stage to dance by Dick Valentine during the Electric Six show! Â And then Percussion World handed me his set list at the end of the show. And then they were all hanging out in the bar all night afterward! Now that's a cool bar if I've ever heard of one! :D
I guess this place actually had good food too but I can't comment on that as I never ate here.
I went here to watch my friends' band play the other night, and it was just okay. The service wasn't that great. It took me forever to get a beer because the waitress forgot to ring it in, and then spent the next fifteen minutes taking other orders and still forgetting to ring in my beer. I eventually got it, and it was served in a plastic cup... If I'm paying $3.50 for a beer after paying a $5 cover charge, I don't expect to get it out of the kind of cup I buy at a frat party. Especially since the frat party cup is $5 for all you can drink with no cover charge. Then we wanted a round of shots, and it took forever for our waitress to find our table just so we could order them. The shots came... in plastic cups. Have you ever tried to take a shot out of a plastic cup?
I'm giving it three stars because they had a relatively large selection of beers, including what seemed to be some pretty obscure micro-brews. I can't hate too much on a place that has micro-brews. I didn't try any of the food, so I might go back for that sometime if my friends' band plays there again. But I am not making a special trip.
