I'm very particular about my BBQ, and the Smoke Shack just doesn't do it for me. The prices are very reasonable, but that is about the only positive about the place in my book.
The smoked sausage is not too bad (but quite greasy), but the other meats are just average (at best) for a southern BBQ joint. Furthermore, the sides are nothing special and the sauce selections are very limited.
I've eaten here about a half dozen times over the past couple of years, and have pretty much given up on the place - there are better BBQ places in metro Little Rock.
Yea for good BBQ!!! The Smoke Shack definitely filled me to the gills with some awesome pork ribs, cole slaw and baked beans! I got the hot, spicy sauce to pour over the ribs and could have just ate that! A plate like this with the bread buns set me back a little over $8!!! That's about what they pay for a gallon of gas some places in Europe!
Loved the vintage photos of Little Rock circa 1900 and the general decor. Staff was wonderful though I see they are looking for help. Don't trip over y'alls feet getting down there!!!
