Sonic Drive-In

Ok, so where I grew up, we didn't have a Sonic anywhere to be found.  So my first and only experience is from this one.  I have taken my kids here now about 4 times in the past 5 years.  (we don't do fast food a lot)
Each time we have an enjoyable experience.  Their burgers/hot dogs look like they do in the pictures and taste just as good. (you can't say that about a lot of fast food places)  Their Sonic Blasts are AWESOME!  They serve all the food on their menu regardless of the time.  And this particular Sonic is open until midnight.

Now, I will say that each time we have gone, it has been in the late Fall, Winter or early Spring, so I don't know if the quality goes down during the summer when there is a lot of traffic to OBX.  

The staff is friendly and outgoing.  You can order from one of their parking stations or go through the drive through.
And if you are a local, they will give you a discount!

I am a pretty big fan of Sonic. Not a huge fan of fast food in general, but Sonic is one of my exceptions. I pulled in and I was texting my wife and I didn't realize that I had been there a few minutes. The girl came out to make sure everything was okay and that the system was functioning properly. That was a plus because they actually pay attention to what is going on around them. The lady was very nice and I told her I would order shortly. My food did not take long, was fresh, hot, and delicious. As far as Sonic goes, this one was on point.

Of course Im a fan!...Ever since I tried the caramel shake...I have to have it!... been to NY, KS, NE, MD, NC...and the shakes are delish....I also order the Ched R Peppers...small deep fried battered poppers oozing with molten lava..cheddar cheese....wait a few minutes before you fry your mouth, wish they had more pescetarian options :(
