Sonic Drive In

Stopped at this Sonic for a quick meal. The drive through is a little odd in that it is a carhop style thing but you do not pull into the space rather you drive alongside a speaker then wait at that speaker for your order then pull straight out when the order is complete. It doesn't have a "normal" drive through window.

Sonic has a number of new hot dog products and they look pretty good in the picture. Really good actually. I tried the Chicago dog. I can say it tastes nothing like a good Chicago dog at all. But it is a nice effort. The dog itself is tough and doesn't taste very good. The relish they use is much too sweet. The bun seemed decent enough and everything was hot. The tots were crunchy and really good. The flavored soda was also great. Service was fast and very friendly.
