Do you get a special badge for the first review in a town?

I had to think a bit before deciding which business I could grace with its inaugural McKenzie, TN yelp stamp.

I settled on the Sonic, which is actually brand new. The old one was one of the few around with a seating area, the new one is closer to what you'd expect to see, with drive-in only.

I grew up in California, land of countless Sonic ads and no Sonics (at least not where I lived). This was the first sonic I ever visited. I had some sort of Cherry 7up thing. It was sweet and sticky, too sweet and sticky really, kind of unpleasant but also kind of refreshing. Since then I've been back a couple times I guess, when visiting family in town. My wife worked there in high school and has a ton of good memories and entertaining stories.

I'll remember it forever though for its integral role in my wedding. It was a hot and muggy June day and the A/C at the venue was working as best it could, but couldn't handle the heat and the people. Pre-ceremony my uncle ran out to sonic and came back with a large number of delicious, assorted, cold beverages. Total lifesaver.
