Spiral

I went to Spiral back when they first opened.  Way to date myself.  My best friend in college had a gay roomate, so we frequented many gay clubs...plus, we used to like to get our dance on!  This place was pretty swanky for a college kid...velvet couches with velvet curtains, allowing for privacy...cool brushed metal all over with sprial cut outs...fancy lights on the dance floor.  Everyone can feel comfortable here, as mentioned in other reviews.  It was the only place that actually played dance/house music in the day as well.

Some of the most tired drag I've seen in some time.  However, they were having fun with it.  I would return.

Best, and really the only actual, dance scene/club in Lansing/East Lansing.

The DJs here know what's in and when to play it, every thing is mixed up fabulously including the drinks, every one is there to dance the night away and look sexy doing it. Spiral is a gay bar, yes, but unless you're really paying attention to the random make out sessions in the bathrooms (avoid) or outside, you'd probably never know it.

Spiral also boasts plenty of themed nights and parties, which is a personal favorite of mine. If you want to count on having a blast, getting sweaty, and dancing your ass of to tunes that never disappoint you need to find yourself in the middle of Spiral's dance floor.
