We went here last weekend and got pretty good food, however, the mixed drinks were absolutely awful! Â I got a rum and coke and my husband got a vodka tonic, and neither tasted like they had any alcohol in them. Â Mine just tasted like watered down coke. Â Neither of us finished our drinks. Â I would recommend just getting a beer if you go.
Review Source:I visited this place a couple of times while in Fort Dodge on business (there really isn't alot going on in Fort Dodge, IA if you know what I mean). But, I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the service and the food. I sat at the bar and my server, "Jake B." was very friendly.
The Sportspage is your run of the mill sports bar with one really, really, weird exception... The chicken fajita's!!! Â Really? Fort Dodge, IA? Yes, really. Marinated and grilled to absolute perfection... If you're ever in here, try them once. You'll be sold.
Also, a small group in the "seated" section had ordered a pitcher of Bud Light but the waitress mistakenly had one of the bartenders pour a pitcher of Coors Light. When the group informed the waitress that they ordered Bud Light not Coors Light, she of course brought it back to the bar.
Now, rather than pour the pitcher out, (which in my experience, most establishments will do), Jake asked if I would like it? No charge. Seriously? Being an avid beer drinker, how else could I respond but with an enthusiastic YES!!!
An older "beer drinking" couple sat at the bar next to me and since I was driving back to my hotel room (and had already had a pint or two), I offered to share the pitcher with them as well. Really, a good place with good people working there.
One more thing... The Jalapeno burger is pretty darn good too!!!
The Sports Page is a great sports bar. Â When I was growing up, we went there all the time but it had been several years since I'd been in. Â The food was just as I remembered it - great sports bar food. Â I can't think of any place in Fort Dodge that would be better for having a bite to eat and watching a game.
Review Source:This is a good local sports bar. Â Wider menu variety and tastier food than most. Â I was here for lunch and had to go back to work, so didn't really notice the bar items, but looked like a good variety. Â Service friendly, attentive and quick, with good menu recommendations, this tipped the balance from three to four stars for me.
Review Source:On vacation, and haven't been to this place in 5+ years. It's a great burger and sandwich menu with items we don't see very often back home. The servers were prompt and friendly and our food came quick and hot. It was good food enjoyed in a sports bar environment. Atmosphere wasnt too loud, tables were spaced out pretty nice, plenty of TVs around, and seems like a good place to chill.
Review Source:Typical sports bar with burgers, beer, and boob-tubes. On Tuesday it's BBQ night, with burgers and hot dogs on the grill out front. $2 burgers and $2 beers can't be beat, you just have to order it outside and then take it inside. Regular prices are inside, so for those $2 beers they make you walk back outside. Sunday I had the regular cheese burger. It was tasty and after a round of golf the beer went down smoothly. Just a few people in the place and the service was excellent. Seems as though the Sports Page hires the high school kids and the Old Boston pub in town gets the community college kids. Sport Page has the better TVs. Old Boston has the experienced servers and better food.
