The Spot

Very cool burgers using locally made buns for a unique experience in a small town.

My boyfriend and I were driving through this part of Texas and got stuck in Wheeler one night because of a big thunderstorm. We ended up staying at the Baymont Inn at the southern end of Wheeler and was told by the night manager that the only place to eat in town at the late hour of 7 pm was The Spot. It is a fast food place with burgers and fries and soda. The place was ran by two friendly ladies and we were their last customer for the night, but they were happy to serve us and wait for us to finish before closing the place down.

The burgers and fries are actually quite good and I am not usually a fan of onion rings but I actually liked the taste of the rings from The Spot. If you are in Wheeler or just driving through I recommend grabbing a quick bite here. It won't disappoint especially if you have no big expectations.
