Stopped by this restaurant on my way back to Washington state from glacier national park.
I read the reviews before coming here and was not disappointed. The food is good, nothing spectacular or terrible. The price is decent.
I had a huckleberry BBQ burger, which was very good. The sauce was a little more sweeter than I thought it would have been, but nevertheless very good. I also tried the huckleberry milkshake after reading the reviews. The milkshake was delicious but nothing out of the ordinary-still worth the try because it's not everywhere where you can have a huckleberry milkshake!
Overall a really good place to stop by on I-90! And yes like everyone says, the bathrooms are very nice and there is a large gift shop.
If you are heading across MT on 90, or heading along the stretch of 135 (to/from the direction of Flathead Lake), you should do yourself a favor and check out this "something for everyone" (including a "casino") travel center.
We really just stopped for gas, but ended up staying quite a bit longer to browse the large and varied gift shop, as well as peer into the tanks of trout. Multiple types of trout are on display, and while I heard some of the names mentioned while visiting Montana, I never really got to see any (other than filleted and on a plate). From this aspect alone it was worth a stop (and it's free).
If you need any of the typical, or not so typical, souvenirs associated with travel, I'm pretty sure you'll at least find several items that you'll want to buy... Whether you actually do may depend on how much restraint your spouse has.
The travel center also had a dizzying selection of huckleberry goods... From the more obvious items like ice cream, pie and jam, to less common items like liquorice and popcorn (we still regret not buying some). In the non-food category we even saw huckleberry lip balm.
FYI, the map is off. The travel center is at the corner of Mullan Gulch Rd and 135 (very convenient for access to/from 90).
Bottom line: Definitely glad we stopped here to gas up before heading west on 90.

The St. Regis Travel Center is open 24/7 and the restaurant and gift shop are open 6 am - 11 pm all summer long.
We often stop here for gas and the bathroom on our way to the Flathead. Â I was traveling solo this year. Â For the first time I ordered a burger. Â Quite frankly, it is one of the best I have had in some time. Â It was big. Â The patty was moist. Â The lettuce seemed fresh. Â I ordered it with tator tots. Â They were great. Â Not on my diet, but hit the spot on a long drive. Â I will not be afraid to try it again.
By the way, this place also has a large gift shop. Â It is better than some I have been in. Â However, it is for tourists. Â We stick to the gas and the bathroom. Â It is a good stop along this freeway. Â We will be back.
I was able to have lunch at the St. Regis Travel Center with several family members and we had a great time and a great meal.
We started off by visiting the Gift Shop which has the live trout display and the best selection of gifts and Montana souvenirs in Western Montana. The prices are good and they have lots of huckleberry treats and some really unique items too. I was able to find a great book that I will use as a gift for my daughter and some other souvenirs.
Then we had lunch in the new restaurant and had the whole works: a burger, fries, and a huckleberry milkshake. The food was great, the burgers were so big we weren't able to finish them and the milkshake was amazing. The service was also very good, quick and friendly. All this and the prices were great, very affordable.
I don't usually comment on restrooms but it was so nice to find such a high traffic location with really clean and modern restrooms too. This is by far one of the best places to stop along I-90 in Western Montana. I'd highly recommend it.
I decided to stop here on my trip from WA to MT when I saw the sign that said "free trout aquarium"! I can't vouch for anything but the fish but it was a great display. I am a biologist though so there's some bias to my opinion. They have a lot of different Montana items for sale and it's a large rest stop. The bathrooms were very clean. I would certainly stop here again!
Review Source:Located off I-90 at Exit 33 (MT 135) on the north side of the interstate. The St. Regis Travel Center is great pitstop between Coeur d' Alene and Missoula since facilities are very scarce along this stretch of I-90.
This travel center has a gas station, convenience store, family style restaurant, ice cream/espresso, casino with slot machines, Â free trout aquarium, large gift shop, and RESTROOMS!
Oh yeahhhh, we really needed to use the facilities in the worst way, since we had lots of coffee to drink with our lumberjack breakfasts earlier. We checked out the gift shop which has a great selection of Montana souvenirs, shirts, mugs, postcards, hats, jewelry, gifts, collectibles, toys, & more, but we didn't see any "Hannah Montana" stuff. Free popcorn too! We picked up some shirts, mugs, and postcards. I checked the receipts and there was a 3% sales tax in St. Regis, even though Montana has no state sales tax, just like my home state of New Hampshire.
Afterwards, I got some more coffee for the road to keep awake since I was driving. Back on I-90, easy off-easy on!
