We have been here twice, both times we have went we have had pretty cruddy service. The food is fine, you can tell a lot of it is food service food, but whatever. We came for the experience and for the tour. Today we came for a kids festival the town, It was really hot, so after the pageant we went to get a bite to eat. There was one server who you could tell really hated her job. We sat down, Hot and Thirsty and she kept walking by, did not ask what we wanted until we flagged her down. We got our drinks, then it took another 15 minuets for her to even take our order. The food came out faster than she did. We waited another 20 min for our ticket to pay, I knew we had to get back outside for crowning but i did not expect it to take a hour for a order of chicken tenders. I went to the front to pay, and stood there and waited and waited and waited, not even a ill be right with you, or anything. I finally got mad Left 20$ on the table which made me mad, she did not even Deserve the change that was left. Told the Mayor who owns the grill and i did not even get a apology from him of all people.I wish I could tell you the servers name, but no name tag and the servers just wear whatever to work, not the best choices of clothing but whatever. I Will not be back to eat at the grill, the tour maybe but I would rather take out of town guest to Senoia, for a experience

Station 22 Grill is in an interesting position these days. It's a small town family sports bar, but the small town it calls home also happens to be the place where the most memorable and well-written episode of season three of The Walking Dead was filmed. And if you know anything about the show biz scene in northern/central Georgia, you probably know how much the people here are into zombies. (Pardon me: Walkers.) We love them.

This means lots of tourists and fanboys and fangirls passing through (as in, from entirely other countries), and Mayor Jim Sells and the people of Grantville were generous and smart enough to jump on the opportunity for new business and publicity for the entire city. What started as an occasional weekly occurrence for curious fans has now evolved into a multi-part, ever-expanding fan experience every weekend, and it all starts at Station 22.

Three nights a week, fans gather at the grill to watch "Clear," the Walking Dead episode that was filmed in Grantville, in the block or two immediately around the bar. Drinks are served during the show, and then the entire tour group is taken by Mayor Sells himself for an hour-long journey through the filming locations. There are anecdotes about the cast and crew, there are discussions about the show's story and the themes, and there are some really cool surprises and treats throughout the tour. The central set on the tour (Morgan's apartment) was repainted back to normal by the WD crew after the shoot, but a handful of Grantville people have redressed and restocked some essential parts of the apartment for the fans. Very cool indeed.

Afterwards, most of the crowd (which nowadays can approach 30 or 40 people at a time) returns to Station 22 for dinner. The menu is nothing fancy, but simple, clean, and everything you'd need out of a sports bar. It's also Walking Dead-themed -- duh. (I had Daryl's BLT. Because Daryl. And BLTs.) The grill fits an impressive amount of seating in a fairly roomy space, though it gets packed during tour nights. Even so, the service is quick and pleasant.

Side Note: The whole Walking Dead experience has gotten so big that a cool merch shop has opened up next door (Grantville Zombie Geeks), and Mayor Sells says the city is planning to hold some excellent zombie-themed events in October, before the new season's premiere. The city's definitely got goals, including some essentials like opening a grocery store nearby.

Station 22 is doing a lot more than feeding the locals and the tourists. It's actually part of a unique fan experience that's helping to drive business and interest in Grantville. Whether you're a fan of the show or not, pass on through and grab a bite.

A new restaurant with new ideas. Always busy and they cook what you want, how you like it.
