I remember fondly the summers I spent at the Striper as a child. My grandparents owned the bar and grill in the 1960's and into the 1970'. The bar itself was a beautiful creation of deep, rich, dark polished wood. The lounge was always sort of dark and smoky. Every year, when they held  the "Bass Derby" in Rio Vista, our entire family worked the bar and grill. Parents, Grandparents and we kids pitched in and it was wonderful.
I think that I shall go there this weekend to see what it is like now. Maybe you should join me!
