This is where the locals hang out. Â Best sports bar in Basalt. Â
After 9PM most of RFV is closed for business but Stubbies is open till midnight or 1AM. Â I can't really remember what time they kicked us out because we had a couple of Pitchers of Ranger IPA (amazing IPA by New Belgium a Colorado company). Â I do know it was a Sunday night because the dolphins were the last game that day and they blew their chance to win in the last two minutes of the fourth...
Yeah so I love this place because they've got plenty of TVs, a dart board, Â pool tables galore and FUSE BALL. Â I can't tell you how many games of table soccer I played cuz we never sat out... you see I was on the winning team with this guy from El Salvador and we were merc-ing people. Â That's the other thing I loved about this place... Colorado has a huge Central American population but I never seemed to run into people speaking spanish till I came here. Â I found myself speaking spanish all night and apparently pretty well because they thought I was Cuban. Â I've never hung out with so many dudes and felt like a part of the family but that's the way Colorado people are (especially Hispanics) so don't be afraid to talk to anyone because everybody's friendly at Stubbies. Â This place provided the atmosphere for one of the best nights out I had while in Basalt.
