Usual Subway but in such a tiny town the freindly staff and not fried menu makes luch quck and tastey. Good soups in the winter too.

I am pissed.  On September 21, 2012, around 10:00 PM, we walked into this Subway to order two footlong sandwiches. I asked the young lady behind the counter for wheat bread.  "We are out of wheat bread," she said.  Fine.  I then said I'd have the oat bread.  "We are also out of the oat bread," she said.  O...k.  I stood there for about 15 seconds deciding on the third best option until she just piped up and said in a rather unfriendly way, "Can't you just order the white bread?"  Before I could answer, a young man suddenly appeared from out of the back room of the restaurant holding up two loaves of bread and said, "We have wheat bread, they just came out of the oven."  Somehow, guys, I had a fishy feeling about this.  A really. Fishy. Feeling.  Anyway, they made our subs, and I could tell the bread looked a bit hard as they were putting it together.  And after they wrapped up our subs, they handed us the bags (which did not feel warm, by the way, as if they came out of the oven; also, we did NOT order toasted subs, just plain Veggie Delights).  We paid, drove to our home near the elementary school (just so you know we didn't have far to drive and would blame that on the "stale" bread) and started eating.  As soon as the four of us started eating, the "freshly baked" wheat bread was broken and started to crumble in our hands.  My father was complaining how stale the bread tasted.  I ate about 1/4 of my end before throwing it away.  My sister threw hers away and my father barely finished his.  Seriously, the bread was STALE.  After we threw the subs away, my sister said, "It's almost as if he grabbed the bread from the garbage or something."  That's when I wanted to vomit because the bread tasted EXACTLY like that, and I would NOT...I'm serious...I would NOT be surprised if that's what that kid did.  But, even if he didn't, he DID find us old bread that didn't taste fresh and they were not very friendly with us.  And do they even bake the bread in the back room?  Even if they did, as I said, it wasn't fresh.  It tasted dirty, grainy, and stale.

Now, to be fair, this restaurant is good during the day.  In the afternoons, they have GREAT service.  The sandwiches are good otherwise.  This review is for the evening experience ONLY, as I have reason to be suspicious over that bread.
