We hosted a small dinner party earlier this week. What a disaster. I do not drink alcohol but our guests did and the drinks were very weak and watered down to the point where they couldn't tell if there was vodka, whiskey or bourbon in their drinks. Our server seemed to be inexperienced and she did not listen to us. We ordered appetizers (calamari, ahi tuna) that were very uninspired; the sauce on the calamari tasted canned and the ahi tuna was NOT fresh, nor was the wasabi. They pride themselves on their steaks, so a few of us ordered steak and all of the steaks had to be sent back to the kitchen because they were over-cooked, tough and dry. When the properly prepared steaks arrived, they were quite good. The server should have removed our entree plates when she removed our steaks, though, and brought us freshly prepared items (potatoes, vegetables). We had to ask four times for more dinner rolls and they were brought to the table as we were finishing our meal. During the meal, the server brought me a styrofoam box for my steak--wait until we're finished eating. Whoa Nellie. She did not offer a dessert menu (maybe there isn't one) nor did she offer a wine menu, nor refills on our water. She brought our salads (obviously greens from the local supermarket) and came back with our entrees before any of us could touch our salads. The only thing we could agree on was the nice view of the golf course from the restaurant, but we brought our guests to Sundance Saloon and Steakhouse for a nice meal and we didn't get it. Very overpriced. We will not be back.
